TRS MLA Konda Surekha, who has been maintaining silence ever since she joined the party, opened her mouth for the first time after a long time. Obviously, the talk of a possible expansion of the State Cabinet has promoted her to come out in the open in support of the government. Surekha on Friday lashed out at the TDP MLAs for obstructing the proceedings in the House. “Why did they choose to stall the House if they are interested in discussing power crisis and other burning problems of the people in the House,” she asked.
Surekha alleged that the TDP MLAs had pre-planned to obstruct the House proceedings fearing that their party leader and AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s true colors will come out regard to Power Purchase Agreements. Lashing out at the TDP MLAs, Surekha said the former obstructed the Question Hour with an intention to prevent discussion on people’s problems in the House.
She also alleged that the TDP was bent upon blaming the Government with single point program of disturbing the House proceedings. Surekha said, “The TDP MLAs behaved irresponsibly in the House. It was not proper on the part of TDP MLAs for obstructing the House though Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao assured them that his Government was ready to discuss all issues”. She reiterated that the government was keen on a discussion on farmers’ suicides and power problems.
