Tamil superstar Suriya has officially begun work on his next film, tentatively titled #Suriya47, marking his first collaboration with renowned Malayalam director Jithu Madhavan, who shot to nationwide fame with the blockbuster Aavesham. The film was formally launched today with a traditional pooja ceremony in Chennai, attended by close family members and prominent figures from the industry.
The event witnessed the presence of Jyotika and Karthi, along with producers from 2D Entertainment and Dream Warrior Pictures, adding significance to the launch. Nazriya Nazim has been roped in as the female lead, reuniting her with big-banner cinema after a brief gap. Popular Malayalam actor Naslen, known for his breakout performance in Premalu, plays a key role, while John Vijay and Anandaraj will be seen in crucial supporting roles.
The film features a strong technical crew with Sushin Shyam composing the music, Vineeth Unni Palode handling cinematography, and Chetan D’Souza choreographing the action sequences. Along with the launch ceremony, the makers have also kickstarted the regular shooting schedule from today, officially setting the project in motion.
