Kollywood star Suriya has carved a unique space for himself with his versatile acting. Known for balancing action-packed entertainers and content-driven films, he has earned nationwide recognition with movies like Jai Bhim and Soorarai Pottru, both of which brought him critical acclaim and prestigious awards.
However, despite his efforts in recent years, Suriya has been struggling at the box office. Films like Kanguva and Retro ended up as disappointments. Currently, he is working on Karuppu and also teaming up with Telugu director Venky Atluri for another project.
Among these, Karuppu is expected to hit the screens first. Adding to the buzz, Suriya has now signed his 47th film, which will be directed by Malayalam hitmaker Jithu Madhavan, who rose to fame with back-to-back successes like Romancham and Aavesham. With Jithu’s growing popularity across South India, expectations are already high for this collaboration.
Reports suggest the film will go on floors in November, and if industry buzz is true, actress Nazriya Nazim (wife of Fahadh Faasil, who played Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat in Pushpa) will be cast opposite Suriya. While an official confirmation is awaited, the pairing itself has generated huge excitement.
Fans are eagerly waiting to see what magic Suriya and Jithu Madhavan can create together, making this project one of the most anticipated in Kollywood.
