Film industry runs after success. We see producers knocking the doors of new directors who make successful debut, the recent example being Venky Atluri, Venky Kudumula and a few others. But, here is the rare case of producers running after a director who didn’t have a single release yet.
Venu Udugula’s directorial debut, “Needi Naadi Oke Katha” is slated to release worldwide on March 23. Irrespective of the result of this film, the young director has already bagged two new films, and one of them will most likely feature reigning actress, Sai Pallavi.
There is strong buzz in film circles that Venu is a very talented filmmaker. We hear that some big producers have already watched the final copy of Needi Naadi Oke Katha and offered fat cheques to Venu, asking him to do his next film in their banner.
Of all the producers, Venu has reportedly signed agreements with two banners – 14 Reels and the producers of Sharwa-Sai Pallavi’s “Padi Padi Leche Manasu”. One of these two projects is a heroine-centric film and Sai Pallavi has already given her nod to play the lead role.
If ‘Needi Naadi Oke Katha’ becomes a hit, then Venu will be in much more demand.
