Salman Khan, the superstar actor who’s also the brand ambassador for many companies in India, is stretching arms to set up his own business and turn it into a big brand.
In what could be the interesting move from this Dabbangg star, he is all set to foray into mobile manufacturing business and join the existing zone where the rivalry between domestically-dominated companies Intex and Micromax is quite high.
Also, Chinese manufactures like Oppo, Xiaomi and Vivo are competing in the same zone to score high. Amidst the competition, Salman is getting ready to set up ‘Being Smart’ smartphones which is seen as a follow up venture to his clothing brand ‘Being Human’. With Being Smart, Salman will reportedly continue his philanthropic work as profits made would be driven to ‘Being Human Foundation’.
Although more details were not disclosed, reports suggest that Salman Khan is building a management with experienced leaders from Samsung and Micromax. Salman and other family members are involved in forming this joint venture to develop new-age smart phones based on Android technology.
With a aim to kick off the initial sales online and later in retail markets, Khan is reportedly keen to lead the brand and is expecting an investor too. As Being Smart phones are likely to hit markets soon, it remains to be seen how the existing companies will face threat from Khan’s brand.
