She will portray yesteryear Hindi and Marathi actress Jayshree Gadkar in the biographical drama on legendary filmmaker V. Shantaram. For context, Jayshree Gadkar was Shantaram’s second wife and a celebrated actress of her era.
The makers released Tamannaah’s first look poster from the film, showcasing her in an elegant saree against a vintage movie backdrop. She exudes the aura of a classic actress, perfectly capturing the essence of the era. Sharing the poster, the team wrote: “Jayashree – The star of an era. The strength behind a legacy. A chapter returning to history.”
Throughout her career, Tamannaah has predominantly been seen in glamorous roles and, more recently, item numbers in films like Stree 2, Raid 2, and other Bollywood projects.
