Prasanth Varma and Teja Sajja’s superhero flick ‘Hanu-Man’ has definitely proven to be a Sankranti blockbuster. The movie arrived as a small film with limited release due to heavy competition but the highly positive talk right from the premiers made the viewers get into the theatres in large numbers. Also, the content is superb and it catered to every set of audience. Within a month of its release, the movie crossed the 300 crore mark and the collections from overseas are fantastic.
Bollywood trade pundit Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and revealed that the Hindi version of ‘Hanu-Man’ has minted 50 crores at the box office. It is a huge achievement as it had no star power and relied on just a positive talk. In the five weeks of its release, the movie amassed a total of 50.76 crores in theatres of North. The collections on the first week were 22.92 crores while it got 16.67 crores on its second week.
In the third week, it minted 6.47 crores at the Hindi box office while it received a total of 3.68 crores on its fourth week. It got 1.02 crores in the fifth week. Despite the arrival of ‘Fighter’, ‘Hanu-Man’ managed to stand on its own and get over 50 crores collections in North India. This explains that quality content will always come out as the winner despite all the hurdles.
Teja Sajja is the hero while Amrita Aiyer is the heroine. Vinay Rai played the villain role.
