Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has already rolled out 25,000 job offers to fresh graduates for the financial year 2027 (FY27), signaling continued focus on campus hiring. CEO and MD K Krithivasan stated that hiring numbers could increase further depending on business demand.

The company had earlier recruited over 44,000 freshers in FY26, marking one of the largest hiring drives in India’s private sector. Despite this scale, TCS maintains that its hiring strategy remains unchanged, with a balanced approach between freshers and experienced professionals.

Krithivasan noted that fresh recruits typically undergo around nine months of training before being deployed on projects, while lateral hires contribute immediately. Going forward, hiring decisions will largely be driven by market demand and project requirements.

Meanwhile, Chief HR Officer Sudeep Kunnumal confirmed that annual salary hikes across all levels will come into effect from April 1, 2026. He emphasized that TCS continues to invest in building a future-ready workforce, with a strong focus on AI-driven skills and capabilities.

Although the company implemented a workforce reduction of about 2% in FY26—impacting roughly 12,000 employees—Krithivasan clarified that there are no immediate plans for further restructuring. He added that employees who consistently perform well can expect stable and long-term career growth at TCS.

On the financial front, TCS reported a 12.12% year-on-year rise in Q4 net profit to ₹13,784 crore, compared to ₹12,293 crore last year, along with a 29% jump over the previous quarter, reflecting strong business performance.
