TDP Recruits 12, 14 Year Olds Into Party

There are some guidelines when it comes to giving party membership to voters. Usually, all parties follow the norm of 18 years as far as membership goes. No party gives membership to people that age. But the Telugu Desam Party seems to be following its own rules and regulations. Setting aside the rule that those below the age of 18 are not eligible for membership, they are recruiting children as young as 12 and 14 into their party. Well, they are surely setting a new trend for other parties.
When questioned about the same, the party leaders are countering the argument saying that today’s children will be tomorrow’s voters. So what’s wrong in letting into the party and giving them a feel of politics they question? Apparently, their latest effort is part of their initiative to become the ‘country’s largest party’ say political insiders.
Already, Babu’s son Lokesh has announced that it is their new goal to make TDP the largest party with maximum number of memberships. So, to meet his directives, party cadre is recruiting children of 12 and 14 years. Also, the party has announced many offers to its members on the lines of businessmen giving promotional offers. The cadre is hopeful that such offers will influence people to join their party.
