The internal rift within the TDP in Krishna district, involving Kolikapudi Srinivas and Kesineni Chinni, has now reached Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who is reportedly set to take strict action.
The conflict, which began as a verbal spat, escalated after Srinivas posted a WhatsApp status alleging that Chinni accepted money from him for the Thiruvur MLA ticket. The situation has worsened over the past few days, drawing the attention of the party leadership.
TDP president Palla Srinivasa Rao had planned to intervene and meet both leaders on Friday, but the meeting was called off after Chandrababu himself got involved. Reports suggest that the Chief Minister instructed Srinivasa Rao to hold off, saying he would personally address the issue upon his return from his UAE trip, expected in a day or two.
Srinivas, who has repeatedly troubled the party leadership despite prior warnings from Chandrababu, is likely to come under strict scrutiny. With the Chief Minister now directly handling the matter, severe consequences for all involved are expected once he resumes office.
