Senior TDP leader, MLC and Ex Minister Gali Muddu Krishnama Naidu breathed his last on Tuesday night. 71 Year old Gali served in many crucial roles in TDP. Gali was admitted to a private hospital two days back due to dengue fever.
By the time he was admitted to hospital, Gali reportedly suffered from multi organ failure and was on antiobiotics due to high infection. Gali was declared dead at around 2:50 am. He also had respiratory issues and was in shock during admission in hospital. Gali got his heart operated last year.
Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu made a political entry with TDP after NTR invited him in 1983. He worked as a lecturer in Guntur Arts and Science college before that. Gali represented Nagari constituency and is known for his developmental works there. Gali’s death remains a great loss to TDP.
Gali was born on June 9 1947 in Venkatramapuram in Chittoor district. He is survived by wife Saraswati, two sons and a daughter. He got a rare record in his name for winning six consecutive times as MLA from Puttur. Gali served as Educational minister (1984), Forest and Environment Minister (1987) and Higher Educational minister (1994). Gali joined Congress after differences in opinions with TDP in 2004 and later joined TDP in 2008 .
