Article 35A and Article 370 that were stripped off from Jammu & Kashmir are all over the headlines from Monday morning. The country is widely debating it. Political parties are divided on it. Majority of them are supporting BJP led NDA government while Congress, PDP of J&K, Vaiko are against this.
The latest development from the national capital is that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is heard to have personally called the Chief Ministers of all the states in the country and informed about the union government’s decision on Kashmir issue. Also Modi asked about the law & order issue in the respective states and told them to be cautious.
On the other hand, the Centre is swiftly doing its work on the Kashmir issue. Principal Secretary of the Home Ministry will be flying to Srinagar later in the day and he will take a look at the security arrangements being made in the Kashmir valley. Apart from the valley, the centre has issued advisory in sensitive states like Uttar Pradesh, Assam and Odisha.
