The Kapu community has seen many ups and downs in its reservation status, for a really long time now. Every ruling party in the history of Andhra Pradesh has promised to make situations better for Kapus, but very few have managed to fulfill their promises, and the community continues to still suffer.
Even the current YSRCP government had promised many things to the Kapu community during its campaign, but has failed to implement anything so far. The TDP has questioned the YSRCP’s integrity towards fulfilling what they had promised the community. In turn, the Jana Sena party is questioning both TDP and YSRCP with regards to what they have done for the Kapu Community.
T. Sivasankara Rao of Jana Sena party has questioned the knowledge of YSRCP Minister Kurasala Kannababu on the Kapu Community, given that he has won the Ministry under the Kapu quota.
T. Sivasankara Rao has also explained all the difficulties the Kapu community has had to face over the years. He explained how every ruling party has done injustice to them, and how parties have just been using them according to their will, and for votes.
Supporters of TDP and YSRCP are now targeting and criticising Jana Sena for making these comments. However, the truth is that Jana Sena is simply pointing out facts in the issue.
It is now to be seen if the government pays any heed to these facts and rectifies the situation, or if they will let the issue just pass by, like they have let many others pass by.
