Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister K Srihari warned of stringent action against teachers and officials who carry cell phones in government schools in the state.
The minister said several complaints were received that teachers were using smart phones in class rooms during school hours and created nuisance in teaching the students. This growing menace also impacted the results in the public exams, he observed.
Srihari said his department also received complaints that teachers were neglecting their duties in many government schools. As a result, drop out rates also increased in the recent times. Government is framing strict rules to run the schools without any hassles in the future.
