In his Instagram story, Hrithik wrote, “I love cinema. I love people who climb into a vortex and let the story take control, spin them, shake them until what they want to say is purged out of them onto that screen. Dhurandhar is an example of that. Loved the storytelling. It’s cinema.”

He further added, “I may disagree with the politics of it and argue about the responsibilities we filmmakers should bear as citizens of the world. Nevertheless, I can’t ignore how much I loved and learned from this one as a student of cinema. Amazing.”

Hrithik’s statement, especially his mention of disagreeing with the film’s “politics,” has fueled speculation that he was subtly critiquing the movie’s underlying message. Many believe his words indirectly address the growing sentiment that such films often serve as propaganda vehicles.
