Tesla Dealerships Under Attack Amid Rising Vandalism

Tesla vehicles, dealerships, and charging stations have increasingly become targets of vandalism, arson, and protests following CEO Elon Musk’s involvement with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which led to mass layoffs of federal workers.

In a recent incident, a Tesla showroom in Oregon was attacked by armed individuals who opened fire, causing extensive damage. The showroom’s mirrors were completely shattered, and multiple vehicles suffered significant destruction. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and all staff members remained safe during the attack.

According to the Tigard Police Department, this was the second act of vandalism at the same dealership within a week. On March 6, an earlier attack saw seven bullets hit three Tesla cars and shatter showroom windows. Authorities are still investigating the motive behind these incidents but acknowledge that Tesla dealerships across Oregon and other states have been targeted for political reasons.

Reports suggest similar attacks have taken place in Seattle, Massachusetts, and various other locations. Law enforcement officials suspect a political motivation behind these acts, but the perpetrators remain unidentified. Despite the ongoing investigation, no arrests have been made so far.

Alongside these attacks, protests have erupted at several Tesla locations, and the company’s stock has seen a significant decline. Many link these events to Musk’s tenure at DOGE.

Elon Musk himself has acknowledged the incidents, reposting footage of the attacks and labeling them as “crazy.” Whether law enforcement will be able to make arrests and put an end to these acts of vandalism remains to be seen. For now, the wave of attacks on Tesla appears far from over.
