In one of the most tragic incidents in South Indian politics, a stampede occurred during a large public rally held by Tirupati Vijay in Karur, claiming 41 lives.
About a month after the tragedy, Thalapathy Vijay is reportedly planning a private meeting with the families of the victims. The meeting is set to take place at a resort in Mahabalipuram, where Vijay has booked 50 rooms to accommodate the families and arranged bus transportation for their convenience, which has been confirmed by the families themselves.
The case remains under investigation, with the CBI handling the ongoing legal proceedings. Earlier, Vijay had announced a financial compensation of ₹20 lakh for each affected family, which is expected to be disbursed soon.
