Tamil Nadu politics are heating up rapidly following the mainstream entry of Thalapathy Vijay with his political party, TVK. The recent Madurai Maanaadu event organized by Thalapathy saw an overwhelming turnout, marking a significant moment for the actor-turned-politician.
Addressing the massive crowd, Thalapathy did not hold back, taking aim at all major parties, including the BJP. He criticized the NDA-led central government for neglecting Tamil Nadu and highlighted key issues such as fishermen’s allowances and NEET exams, stressing the lack of meaningful action during their tenure.
This strong stance came shortly after Amit Shah had hinted at the possibility of an alliance between TVK and the NDA in Tamil Nadu. Shah stated that with the state elections still some time away, anything could happen, signaling a potential strategic opening for Thalapathy.
However, Thalapathy remained firm, targeting the BJP as vigorously as he did the DMK and AIADMK, showing no inclination toward an alliance at present. Interestingly, during this period, Amit Shah maintained a notably strategic silence, refraining from responding to Thalapathy’s attacks while addressing large gatherings in Tamil Nadu.
This silence indicates that the NDA leadership may be keeping their options open, observing the political dynamics carefully while allowing Thalapathy to assert his influence in the state.
