Regina is one happy girl thanks to hits in Power and Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitam. Though a section of the audience and industry feel that Regina has the looks and talent to bag more films, she does not have as many films on hand. But Regina herself is cool-headed. She says there is competition in all walks of life whether a person is a beggar or a millionaire.
“I still have quite a few films to complete and that will take another two years. As for signing new films, I must be convinced of the storyline. I must like the hero and my remuneration. I sign the dotted line after figuring out all these important details. If they have a new hero and come to me to do the film, then I will surely refuse it. Like everyone, I too want money.
But I will not lower my level to grab roles,” says she. However, Regina is quick to correct herself and says she is open to doing films with new heroes if her role is good and if the director is promising. She would rather say no than commit to such films, says she.
Since she missed on some such films, it is not appropriate to spread rumours about her being out of work says Regina. “I am here to do a lot more films. Competition has nothing to do with me signing films. Also, it’s not just me. Even Samantha has enough competition at her level,” says Regina.
