Ace filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, known for blockbusters like Kabir Singh and Animal, is not just concentrating on his upcoming directorial venture Spirit starring Prabhas, but is also quietly expanding his role as a producer. While most of his previous films were both directed and produced by him, this time he is stepping in purely as a producer under his banner Bhadrakali Films.

Under this banner, Sandeep is backing a new project titled Romanchikam. The film is already on floors, featuring Mem Famous actor Sumanth Prabhas in the lead role, and is being directed by debutant Venu. Reportedly, the film is set against a rural Telangana backdrop and revolves around a youthful romantic drama.

In Telugu cinema, several directors have successfully transitioned into production, with Sukumar being a notable example through Sukumar Writings, which has delivered both commercial and content-driven successes. However, not every filmmaker has managed to replicate that balance, as some have struggled with project selection and consistency.

Now, attention is on whether Sandeep Reddy Vanga can succeed in this space as well. Known for his strong storytelling instincts and deep understanding of audience pulse, especially with films like Arjun Reddy, his involvement in a rooted romantic drama like Romanchikam seems aligned with his sensibilities.

However, success as a producer will depend not just on creative vision but also on crucial factors like budgeting, casting, release strategy, and market positioning. If he manages to balance all these elements effectively, Sandeep Reddy Vanga could very well establish himself as a strong producer in Telugu cinema as well.
