If you are familiar with the chat-busters of superstar Mahesh Babu then one song came from his film ‘Takkari Donga’ which goes ‘Naluguriki nachinadi naakasale ika nachchadu ro..’. In that, a line goes ”Nenu okkadini Oka vaipu…lokam oka vaipu’. That seems to be the current position of PM Narendra Modi and his party’s wave.
While that is indeed great reflection of a stable democracy, it sure is sending some warning signals for the southern political parties which are region based. BJP is coming up with some really aggressive strategies to make inroads into south. Their latest achievement BJP emerged as the second largest party in Jammu & Kashmir which is nothing short a miracle.
Given that situation, what about south? Here, the focus of the people is more on development and not sentiment. This can be taken to maximum advantage by BJP. They already have a good hold in Karnataka. The political analysts suggest that the only way to tackle BJP is for multiple parties to come together and form a grand alliance. The other option is, they have to merge with BJP and fight. What is it going to be? Let us wait and watch.
