Despite four new releases, including that of Soukyam, the Box Office cash registers are refusing to ring. Gopichand hoped to repeat another Loukyam with Soukyam, but ended up with an unprecedented disaster. The film came with a bang and left with a whimper. It vanished even before the first week run.
Ditto with Mama Manchu Alludu Kanchu of Allari Naresh- Mohan Babu combo. The film couldn’t get even ordinary opening and never really picked up. Bhale Manchi Roju did get a positive talk, but sans star value, this crime comedy is refusing to look up. Jatha Kalise too had average opening. There were no magical results for Sai Korrapati. Though Loafer did slightly better in the second weekend, it cannot be termed an overall success. This week two romantic entertainers – Nenu Shailaja and Abbayito Ammayi – were released. They do not have any competition till Sankranthi. So if even one of the two manages to do well, it will bring good tidings for Tollywood.
