Made on a shoe string budget of around Rs 2 crore, RX 100 made with newcomers has set the box-office on fire and continuing its golden run.The film has got a share of Rs 7 crore in its first week and before the end of its theatrical run, is well poised to collect a share of around Rs 12 crore.
Other notable films which released were Karthi’s Chinna Babu and Vijetha, introducing Chiranjeevi’s son-in-law. Neither film generated any returns although Chinna Babu got decent reviews.As for Vijetha, it turned out to be a disaster. Luckily, the film had a strong producer Sai Korrapati. Had it been a small-time producer, he would have had to sell his kidney like Chiranjeevi in Vijetha.
One point which worked strongly in RX 100’s favour was its trailer which created a lot of hype among the youth. And if the film manages to at least live up half to its expectations, audiences are making it a grand hit.
