With new releases failing to catch the attention of filmgoers it is going to be another rough week for film trade. None of the Friday releases made an impact at the Box Office. Thanks to Rakul Preeth Singh’s growing stardom, only Rough managed to get decent footfalls over the weekend. However Rough lost the steam quick enough due to bad word of mouth and reviews.
Yamaleela 2 didn’t even get average collections at least in the B and C centers despite huge publicity campaign. Yamaleela brand and Mohanbabu’s presence didn’t work in the favor of this film. Ala Ela is the only film that is receiving positive feedback from the critics, but the film is unable to pull audience to theaters because of the little known lead actors.
Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitam also failed to get decent numbers in its third weekend and Rowdy Fellow’s dreams of picking up at the box office were shattered. There are two notable small films lined up for release on this Friday. Chakkiligintha and Lakshmi Raave Maa Intiki should do well compared to recent releases. If they fail to live up to the expectations, it is up to Rajinikanth to set box office on fire with Lingaa that is slated for Dec 12th.
