A couple of weeks ago, social media was abuzz with speculation after reports emerged that actor Rishab Shetty had unfollowed his Kantara co-star Rukmini Vasanth on Instagram. Along with her, he also reportedly unfollowed Kannada actor Raj B Shetty and the production house Hombale Films.

This sparked rumours suggesting that differences had developed between Rishab and Rukmini, leading to the alleged social media unfollowing. However, Rukmini continues to follow Rishab on Instagram, further adding to the confusion around the claims.

Putting an end to the speculation, Rukmini recently shared an Instagram story that subtly dismissed the rumours. She posted a picture celebrating Kantara Chapter 1’s multiple wins, including Rishab Shetty’s awards for Best Actor and Best Director, along with the film’s other honours, and extended her wishes to the entire team.

Kantara Chapter 1 recently bagged major accolades at the Indian National Cine Academy Awards 2026, winning Best Film, Best Actor (Rishab Shetty), Best Actress (Rukmini Vasanth), and Best Director (Rishab Shetty). Rukmini captioned her post, “Feeling deeply grateful. Thank you for this honour.”

With this gesture, it is now being assumed that there are no differences between the two actors, and that the earlier rumours were baseless. Her continued following of Rishab on social media further supports this belief among netizens.

On the work front, Rishab Shetty is currently working on Jai Hanuman with Prasanth Varma, while Rukmini Vasanth is busy with Jr NTR’s Dragon. Interestingly, both actors from Kantara are now engaged in separate high-profile projects in Telugu cinema.
