Horror-comedy is the current money minting genre in South. Young as well as senior filmmakers are enthusiastic to make horror thrillers comprising of sufficient comedy. Films such as Geethanjali, Raju Gari Gadhi, Chandrakala, Kanchana, Ganga proved that such subjects are best sellers at box office.
In fact, the trend was started with Superstar Rajinikanth’s Chandramukhi. Now, another point added to the genre to attract audience is glamour. Siddharth’s next outing Kalavathi has three alluring beauties Trisha Krishnan, Hansika Motwani and Poonam Bajwa.
The film’s promos hint that, Kalavathi is high on oomph factor. Latest teasers further clarify that, in the C Sunder directorial, glamour dominates horror. Draped in bikini, Trisha is seen romancing hero Siddharth. In fact, in each new promo and poster, they are promoting glamour more than horror.
Siddarth in an interview stated that, he accepted the heroine centric film as the film is going to be sure shot commercial hit. A sequel to the successful 2014 film Chandrakala (Aranmanai in Tamil), the film is announced to be released on 29th January.
