In a startling revelation, sources from Chennai indicated that Trisha’s future husband, the already engaged Varun Manian is getting ready to buy an IPL team. Probably like a Shilpa Shetty, Malayalam heroine Lizzy and another former heroine Juhi Chawla, even Trisha will be owning stake in a cricket team that plays tournament every year to drive the country mad.
What’s that team anyway? Not many know that producer and businessman Varun Manian is a close relative of former BCCI chief Srinivasan who also owns stake in IPL Team Chennai SuperKings though his son-in-law is the one who operates it.
And now that Supreme Court has directed that Srinivasan should either work for BCCI or should own IPL team but not both. With this, it is heard that Srinivasan trying to dispose the team to his relatives and it could be Varun Manian if everything goes well.
On the flip side, Chennai based MRF Tyres is also trying to own the Chennai IPL team. Let’s see what happens.
