Troubles For ‘Tiger Nageswar Rao’ In Tamil Nadu!

The Telugu audiences encourage good content from all regions. If the talk is positive, they are ready to spend their hard-earned money on those films and praise these movies to no end on social media. It is safe to say that dubbing films do supremely well in the Telugu states compared to other regions in the country. There are instances where some dubbed films did more than some star hero films when released at the same time. Even small movies with lesser-known heroes at that time like ‘Bichagadu’, ‘Love Today’, ‘Rangam’ did great business here.

Nowadays, Telugu films are catering to a nationwide audience but there are some places where they don’t run well. Interestingly, Tamil Nadu is one of them. Despite their heroes getting a lot of love from Telugu people, the Tamil crowd are not as welcoming to the Telugu heroes. Even films with good content don’t get enough screens in Tamil Nadu. Only movies like ‘Baahubali’, ‘RRR’ and ‘Pushpa’ were loved by them.

Ravi Teja’s ‘Tiger Nageswar Rao’ is arriving on 20th October. The makers planned to release it on a pan-Indian level but the movie is not even getting a considerable number of theatres in Tamil Nadu. There is more support for this film from the Hindi market. A good number of theatres were given to ‘Tiger Nageswara Rao’ in the North compared to Tamil Nadu.

None of the big companies came forward to distribute this film in Tamil Nadu and the theatres it got are very less. The Tamil exhibitors are filling the entire state with Vijay’s ‘Leo’ which is arriving at the same time. On the flip side, ‘Leo’ is getting a superb release in the Telugu states despite biggies like ‘Tiger Nageswara Rao’ and ‘Bhagavanth Kesari’ releasing on the same weekend. While we are supporting ‘Leo’ and getting excited to watch it in theatres, the Tamil audience are not showing the same interest in Ravi Teja’s flick.
