With Telangana bifurcation closely on cards , the Telangana Rastra Samiti is gunning for resumption of land grants to seemandhra industrialists including the film industry big wigs.
TRS leader Harish Rao has filed a petition with revenue authorities (CCLA) against the Padmalaya studios of Mahesh Babu and his father actor G Krishna . In 1983 the NTR government gave 9.5 acres in Jubilee hills for promoting a studio of which the Actor had sold away 5.53 acres and built Padmalaya studios over 4 acres only.
Similar petition is also pending against Annapurna studios of ANR for non utilization of government land and attempts to sell away or commercialization with shopping complex etc . Sources say that the Samadhi of ANR is being hurriedly being planned in the studios to avoid action by the Telangana government
