Former U.S. President Donald Trump has once again ignited global discussion with his hardline stance on international trade. In a recent statement, Trump suggested the possibility of imposing tariffs as high as 500% on countries such as India and China for continuing to purchase energy resources from Russia.
This announcement aligns with a new legislative initiative titled the Sanctioning Russia Act of 2025, introduced in April by Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, a close ally of Trump.
