The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has reportedly approved ₹30 crore for the development of the renowned Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy Temple, located in Telangana’s Jagtial district. The funds are said to have been sanctioned following the recommendation of Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. An official announcement regarding the allocation is expected soon, according to temple sources. The development was informally shared by Jana Sena Telangana in-charge Nemuri Shankar Goud.
The Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy Temple holds deep personal and spiritual significance for Pawan Kalyan. Over the years, he has frequently visited the shrine during key moments of his political journey. He offered special prayers at the temple during the launch of the Praja Rajyam Party and later at the time of forming the Jana Sena Party. Ahead of major election campaigns, Pawan Kalyan has also performed special prayers for his Varahi vehicle at the temple.
Even after assuming office as Deputy CM, Pawan Kalyan has continued to show keen interest in the temple’s development. The sanctioned funds are expected to be utilized to enhance facilities for devotees, including the construction of nearly 100 accommodation rooms and a dedicated Deeksha Mandapam.
Sources reveal that during his visit to the Kondagattu temple in June 2024, as part of his Varahi Deeksha, temple authorities highlighted the need for development funds. Pawan Kalyan reportedly responded positively, which eventually led to the present allocation by the TTD.
This move is being viewed as a major boost for the historic temple, which attracts a large number of devotees throughout the year. Improved infrastructure and enhanced facilities are expected to significantly improve the pilgrim experience and further strengthen the spiritual prominence of the Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy Temple.
