Maruthi Confident of ‘The Raja Saab’ Success Amid Mixed Talk
Amid criticism that The Raja Saab has not fully met expectations, director Maruthi has expressed strong confidence in the film’s outcome, citing its massive opening-day box office collections as proof of its impact. Speaking at the film’s success meet held today, Maruthi stated that he is extremely satisfied with the result and termed the film a “king-size blockbuster.”
Addressing the feedback from Prabhas fans, Maruthi clarified that the response is being misunderstood. “Prabhas fans are not disappointed; they are unsatisfied. They are still processing the story,” he said. The director revealed that several Prabhas fan association presidents personally spoke to him and praised the film, adding that such mixed talk on opening day is common for Prabhas’ releases. “They asked me to wait for 10 days and see how far the film goes at the box office,” he added.
Maruthi also confirmed that changes have been made to the second half of the film based on early feedback. “We’ve sharpened the second half, and from today’s 6 PM shows, Prabhas’ old getup will be added to the film,” he revealed, assuring audiences that significant effort went into the making of the movie.
Expressing gratitude, Maruthi thanked Prabhas for trusting a mid-range director like him and appreciated fans for their support. With the holiday season underway, it remains to be seen whether these changes and the director’s remarks will positively influence The Raja Saab’s box office run.
