US: Telugu techie died of heart attack

Prashanth Pandal, a US-based Telugu NRI had his name listed in the Green Card backlog. Yesterday, Prashanth died of a heart attack and the sudden death shook his family members. His death has also left his wife, whom he married just 4 months ago, rendered out of status resulting in her inevitable return to India.

Last month, a similar case of Shiva Chalapathi Raju’s demise from North Carolina, whose name was also in the Green Card backlog, left his pregnant wife in inevitable pain and grief. Within a month, Prashanth’s death is once again leaving Indians shock. Since each country can receive only 7% of the total number of green cards available in a single category each year, green card backlogs are rapidly increasing in number.

Prashantha and his newlywed wife Sindhu lived in Tampa, Florida and he died after suffering from a heart attack on November 9. His wife Sindhu is a native from Telangana and moved to the US after marrying Prahanth in June.

With Pandal’s death, the North America Telugu Society has started a fundraiser to help the deceased family. And via Go Fund Me campaign, the organization is putting the efforts in lending support to family members and friends, besides taking care of funeral arrangements. The goal of the fundraiser is $100,000 and it has already received a positive $58,409 contributions within a span of two days.
