Veera Mallu Ticket Prices Hiked with Govt Approval

The highly anticipated film Hari Hara Veera Mallu is gearing up for a grand theatrical release, and the Government of Andhra Pradesh has officially approved a temporary hike in cinema ticket prices to support the film’s launch. A special Government Order (GO) has been issued, allowing theatres across the state to implement revised pricing from July 24 to August 2, 2025.

According to the directive, multiplexes are permitted to increase the base ticket price by up to ₹200, while single-screen theatres can levy an additional ₹150 for upper balcony seats and ₹100 for lower-class seats. Furthermore, special premiere shows have been authorised for the night of July 23, with tickets for these exclusive screenings priced at a flat ₹600 across all venues.

Producer A.M. Rathnam defended the move, citing the film’s extensive production timeline of over five years, substantial VFX work, and a top-tier ensemble cast. He emphasised that the pricing adjustment is aimed at recovering the massive investment and is not profit-driven.

With the Telugu film industry experiencing a lull at the box office in recent months, Hari Hara Veera Mallu is seen as a potential catalyst to reignite audience enthusiasm and revive theatre footfalls. If the film resonates with viewers, it could mark a strong resurgence for cinemas across the region.
