Sankrantiki Vasthunnam, starring Victory Venkatesh, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Meenakshi Chaudhary, has achieved a remarkable feat by crossing the Rs. 100 crore gross mark worldwide. The film is continuing to break records, with ticket demand increasing each day. The movie’s collections on Day 3 have surpassed those of Day 2 in several regions, showing no signs of slowing down.
To celebrate this milestone, the filmmakers organized a special Thank You Meet, marking the achievement of Rs. 100 crores worldwide, US$ 1 Million in North America, and 1.5 Million tickets sold in just three days. During the event, director Anil Ravipudi shared his gratitude, expressing that he expected the audience’s affection but never imagined being placed on such a high pedestal.
Drawing a comparison with Sivagami from Baahubali, who lifts the baby in a memorable scene, Anil praised the overwhelming reception the film has received from family audiences. He humbly noted that he didn’t learn filmmaking from prestigious institutes but rather in theatres, engaging directly with the audience, and promised to continue making films that resonate with them.
Anil also took a moment to congratulate Aishwarya Rajesh for her impactful performance as Bhagyam and applauded the young actor “Bulli Raju” Revanth for making a significant mark at such a young age. He wished the young talent well in his studies, and explained that his character’s journey was intended to shed light on the impact of excessive OTT exposure on children.
The film’s overwhelming success and its positive reception from both audiences and critics demonstrate its widespread appeal, particularly among family viewers.
