Victory Venkatesh, one of Telugu cinema’s most cherished stars, has weathered a few box office ups and downs in recent years. But with Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, which hit screens this past Sankranthi, the actor made a triumphant comeback. The film became the highest-grossing regional Telugu movie of the season, placing him firmly back on the path to success.
Building on this newfound momentum, Venkatesh is now making bold, strategic moves to stay at the top. In an ambitious plan, he’s set to feature in four promising projects within the next 365 days — and here are all the exciting details.
First up is Mega157, Anil Ravipudi’s much-anticipated collaboration with Megastar Chiranjeevi. Venkatesh will light up the screen with a special song and an extended cameo in this big-budget entertainer that also stars Nayanthara and Catherine Tresa. Slated for a Sankranthi 2026 release, the film promises to be a festival treat for audiences.
Next is Venkatesh’s long-awaited full-fledged team-up with star director Trivikram Srinivas. Though they previously worked together when Trivikram wrote dialogues for hits like Nuvvu Naaku Nachav and Malleswari, this will be their first proper actor-director collaboration. Backed by Haarika & Hassine Creations, the family entertainer is expected to roll this July and hit theatres in Summer 2026, with S. Thaman composing the soundtrack.
Fans will also be delighted to know that the Drushyam franchise is returning for its third installment — this time as a grand theatrical release in Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi. After the direct-OTT success of Drushyam 2, part three will begin production with the Malayalam version in October this year, followed by the Telugu and Hindi versions. The film is expected to hit screens by October 2026.
And there’s more — Venkatesh will reunite with Anil Ravipudi once again for Malli Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, another festive entertainer slated for a January 2027 release.
After years of uncertainty, Venkatesh is scripting a glorious comeback with carefully chosen scripts and dynamic collaborations. If all goes according to plan, the next few years could well mark the most exciting and successful chapter of his illustrious career.
