
It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of the passing of veteran actor, producer, and director Dheeraj Kumar. He succumbed to cardiac arrest while undergoing treatment at Kokilaben Hospital in Andheri West, where he was on ventilator support. After his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to the ICU, where he sadly breathed his last. His family and production team had earlier appealed for prayers, hoping for his recovery.

Dheeraj Kumar’s journey in showbiz began in 1965 when he emerged as a finalist in a talent competition alongside Subhash Ghai and Rajesh Khanna. From 1970 to 1984, he starred in 21 Punjabi films, leaving his mark on regional cinema. Later, he showcased his entrepreneurial acumen by founding Creative Eye, a production house where he served as chairman and managing director until his passing.
