Vijay Deverakonda Declines Don 3 Villain Role

The buzz around Don 3 continues to intensify as the film enters pre-production, with Farhan Akhtar returning to direct the latest installment in the blockbuster franchise. The movie will feature Ranveer Singh in the titular role, alongside Kriti Sanon as the female lead. Production is slated to begin in January 2026, with location scouting currently underway in London.

Speculation recently surfaced that Vijay Deverakonda had been approached to play the antagonist, replacing Vikrant Massey. The possibility of a powerful face-off between Vijay and Ranveer excited fans and sparked widespread discussion online. Additionally, rumors about Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra making cameo appearances further amplified anticipation for the film.

However, according to reliable sources, Vijay Deverakonda has turned down the offer. While the opportunity to be part of such a high-profile Bollywood franchise was appealing, the actor—who is currently focused on his Telugu projects—is reportedly being selective about his Hindi film choices. He ultimately felt the role did not align with his current career path and goals.

With Vijay officially out of the running, the search continues for the actor who will take on the villain’s role. The casting process is still ongoing, and more updates are expected in the coming months as the production gears up for what promises to be a high-octane cinematic experience.
