Vijay Deverakonda has finally spoken about a personal regret — not giving enough time to the people who matter most to him, including his family and girlfriend — a remark that has once again fueled speculation about his relationship with Rashmika Mandanna.
Though neither Vijay nor Rashmika has ever confirmed their romance, the actor’s recent candid interview with Cinema Vikatan has set social media abuzz.
“Relationships come above everything,” said the Arjun Reddy star. “I’ve matured a lot in the last two years. Earlier, I wasn’t like this. Looking back at those 2–3 years, I didn’t like how my life went. I didn’t spend enough time with my mum, dad, my girlfriend, or my friends.”
He went on to explain the turning point that changed his outlook: “I suddenly realized how empty that felt. I didn’t want to feel that way anymore. Now I make it a point to spend time with my parents, my friends, and in my relationships.”
Vijay and Rashmika, who delivered memorable performances together in Geetha Govindam (2018) and Dear Comrade (2019), have been linked for several years. While both have stayed tight-lipped, their trips and public appearances — including a Maldives vacation last year — have kept wedding rumors alive. Vijay, however, later denied any immediate engagement or marriage plans.
On the work front, Vijay Deverakonda is gearing up for the release of Kingdom, a spy thriller hitting screens on July 31. He also has SVC 59 with Ravi Kiran Kola and VD14, a period action drama directed by Rahul Sankrityan, in the pipeline.
