Vijay Deverakonda’s highly anticipated film Kingdom hit theaters on July 28 but fell short of audience expectations at the box office. Now, the film is available for digital streaming on Netflix, generating excitement among Deverakonda’s fans and a wider OTT audience.
However, the digital version comes with notable changes, including the removal of the popular song Hridayam Lopala and a carnival fight sequence, sparking disappointment among viewers who had seen the theatrical release and were hoping for the full experience.
The film features Malayalam actor Venkitesh VP as the antagonist, alongside Satyadev Kancharana, Rohini, Bhoomi Shetty, Ayyappa P. Sharma, Goparaju Ramana, and several others in pivotal roles. The music is composed by Anirudh, adding a vibrant layer to the film’s soundtrack. Director Gowtam Tinnanuri reportedly made the call to cut Hridayam Lopala and a scene featuring Deverakonda and Bhagyashri Borse from the digital release.
Despite its theatrical performance, Kingdom remains a topic of discussion, with fans now turning to Netflix to catch the film, albeit in a slightly edited version.
