Vijay Sai Reddy’s Satirical Dig at Jagan Sparks YCP Rift

Share

As anticipated, the conflict between Vijay Sai Reddy and the YSR Congress Party (YCP) is escalating into a heated political battle. While Sai Reddy claims that the coterie surrounding Jagan Mohan Reddy is set to dismantle both him and the party, YCP leaders are countering by alleging that Sai Reddy himself was part of this inner circle for years. Now, they argue, he has succumbed to political pressures and is leaning towards Chandrababu Naidu.

Several YCP leaders, including Ambati Rambabu, have accused Sai Reddy of acting with vested interests and secretly aligning with Chandrababu. In response to these allegations, Sai Reddy posted a satirical tweet, subtly taking a dig at Jagan and his close aides.

“In ancient times, great kings lived in forts, surrounded by a coterie. No matter how much distress the people endured, or how the kingdom fared, the coterie would simply praise the king, saying ‘Aha, king!’ ‘Oho, king!’ – blinding him to reality while they played their games. As a result, both the kingdom and the king would ultimately fall. But if a wise king stepped out in disguise, mingled with the people, and saw their struggles firsthand, he could eliminate the coterie and save his rule. In a democracy, the same holds true. A leader who remains isolated within his fort risks losing everything!”

With this cryptic analogy, Sai Reddy has indirectly criticized Jagan, warning that if he continues to be controlled by his inner circle, he could face political downfall.

At this rate, it appears that the rift between Sai Reddy and YCP will only widen, leading to further political confrontations. Given YCP’s history of aggressive counterattacks, it may not be long before this feud turns into an open war of words, potentially involving the party’s signature “Boothulu” (abusive language) as well.
