Recent buzz on social media suggested that acclaimed Kollywood actor Vijay Sethupathi, popularly known as Makkal Selvan, would be playing the main antagonist in Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone’s upcoming sci-fi thriller directed by Atlee. However, reliable sources have now dismissed these reports, confirming that Sethupathi is not associated with the project.
The rumors gained traction largely because of Sethupathi’s impactful performance as the villain in Atlee’s previous blockbuster Jawan, where he starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara. Fans were eager to see him share screen space with Allu Arjun, but the viral news has now been debunked.
Tentatively titled AA22xA6, the film boasts a star-studded cast featuring Mrunal Thakur, Rashmika Mandanna, and Janhvi Kapoor. Produced by Sun Pictures, the big-budget entertainer is planned as a pan-international release, blending high-octane action, science fiction elements, and cutting-edge visual effects.
While the lead cast is confirmed, the makers are yet to reveal which actor will play the main antagonist opposite Allu Arjun. With Atlee’s stylish direction and Allu Arjun’s massive popularity after Pushpa, expectations from this ambitious project are already sky-high.
