Vijaya Sai Reddy Resigns from Rajya Sabha, Ends Political Journey

YSR Congress leader Vijaya Sai Reddy, who recently announced his retirement from politics, formally completed his final political duty on Saturday morning by resigning from his position in the Rajya Sabha. The resignation was submitted in person to Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar at the Vice President’s residence in New Delhi. The resignation was presented in the official format as required by parliamentary procedures, and Chairman Dhankhar confirmed that the resignation would be processed accordingly.

On the same day, YCP MP Guru Murthy visited Sai Reddy’s residence for a private discussion. Speaking to the media after the meeting, Guru Murthy revealed that he had urged Sai Reddy to reconsider his decision to retire from politics. Guru Murthy added that Sai Reddy had responded positively to his suggestion, although he was not privy to the specific reasons behind Sai Reddy’s decision to retire.

Following the meeting, Sai Reddy, accompanied by Guru Murthy, left his residence. However, Sai Reddy chose not to engage with the media, opting to leave for the Vice President’s residence. As he departed, the media made attempts to elicit a statement, but Sai Reddy only waved without offering further comments, signaling the end of his public interaction before his resignation was officially processed.
