Lady Superstar Vijayashanti has made a strong comeback with her second film in her second innings, playing a powerful mother’s role in Arjun, Son of Vyjayanthi. The film, which stars Kalyan Ram and is directed by Pradeep Chilukuri, opened to a positive response, with particular praise for Vijayashanti’s emotional and commanding performance.

During the film’s success meet, Vijayashanti didn’t hold back when addressing the negative propaganda that’s been circulating around the film. In a bold and fiery speech, she issued a stern warning to those she believes are deliberately trying to sabotage the film’s success.

“There are people who seem to take pleasure in bringing films down. Maybe it’s sadism, maybe something else — but it’s toxic,” she said. “I’m warning those people: stop it. Don’t go to theaters just to spoil the experience for others. Be strong enough to see through the lies and don’t let others brainwash you with negativity.”

Vijayashanti emphasized that cinema is not just entertainment — it’s a livelihood for countless people. “When someone spreads baseless negativity, they’re not just attacking a movie — they’re attacking the lives of hundreds of hardworking people behind it,” she stated.

Drawing from her decades-long career, she appealed to the audience to protect the future of the younger generation in the film industry. “I’ve been in cinema for forty years. I’ve seen the ups and downs. But the new generation is still finding their footing. Let’s not be the reason they fall. Stop playing with lives.”

Her passionate speech was met with applause, reflecting the support from both the film’s team and its audience. Arjun, Son of Vyjayanthi continues its theatrical run, buoyed by strong word-of-mouth and a growing appreciation for its cast and crew.
