A picture of President Ram Nath Kovind has gone viral on social media where he was seen taking the salute at the guard of honour amid pouring rain.
Upon his arrival at the Tiruvanantapuram airport in Kerala on Sunday, Kovind took the salute at the guard of honour given to him. As it was raining heavily, the security officials offered an umbrella to the President, who, however, refused it and preferred to stand on the dais to take the salute amid pouring rain.
Netizens are lauding the President for not taking his position for granted and respecting low level officials.
