Adivi Sesh, who has been tirelessly working over the last couple of years on two ambitious projects that he also penned himself, is all set to surprise audiences in a full-on mass avatar with his next film, Dacoit. Directed by debutant Shaniel Deo, the film features Mrunal Thakur as the female lead and marks the Tollywood debut of acclaimed Bollywood actor-filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. The teaser of Dacoit, released earlier today, has generated an instant and powerful response from audiences.

Speaking about the project, Sesh revealed that Dacoit has been shot simultaneously in two languages, with dedicated Telugu and Hindi versions. He described it as a true collaboration between Telugu and Hindi cinema, co-written by himself and director Shaniel Deo. Calling Shaniel his best friend from the US, Sesh mentioned that the film has been technically crafted in an American filmmaking style. He also credited Anurag Kashyap for offering valuable creative inputs on set, adding that Mrunal Thakur is the soul of the film. According to Sesh, her performance carries immense emotional depth, making her the “crown jewel” of Dacoit.

Sesh further stated that the film exists largely due to the vision of Supriya Yarlagadda, who backed the project on an international scale. He revealed that incorporating the song Kanne Pittaro into the film was her idea. Presenting the film is Annapurna Studios, with Suniel Narang and Janhvi Narang producing it.

Adding to the excitement, Sesh confirmed that the theatrical trailer and songs are already locked, and each upcoming promotional asset will unveil something fresh. He also shared that the Hindi teaser, scheduled to be launched later today at a special event in Mumbai, will be different from the Telugu version, promising a distinct experience for audiences in both markets.
