Veteran director VN Aditya, known for memorable films like Manasantha Nuvve and Nenunnanu, took a long break from the industry. However, after a hiatus, he is making a strong comeback with his latest film, Phani.
Directed by VN Aditya, Phani promises to be a thrilling cinematic experience. The film is produced by Dr. Meenakshi Anipindi under the OMG Productions banner and presented by AU&I. Featuring Catherine Tresa in the lead role, the film also stars Mahesh Sriram, Neha Krishna, and veteran actor Tanikella Bharani in pivotal roles.
At a recent press event in Hyderabad, the makers unveiled the motion poster, generating excitement among movie lovers. Catherine Tresa praised VN Aditya for his versatility in exploring different genres and expressed confidence that Phani would be a standout film in his career.
VN Aditya revealed that his association with producer Meenakshi Anipindi played a key role in bringing this project to life. Initially planned as a small-scale film, Phani evolved into a global venture with Catherine Tresa joining the cast. Notably, it is the first Indian film to be shot entirely in the USA, with Dallas serving as the primary location.
Adding to its uniqueness, the film features a snake as a crucial character. The team went through an extensive five-day audition process before selecting a Black Pine snake for the role. Although Catherine was initially apprehensive, she eventually adapted to working with the reptile.
With an intriguing premise and a global cinematic appeal, Phani is shaping up to be an exciting addition to VN Aditya’s filmography, set to captivate audiences worldwide.
