In the times when each and every Tollywood film is facing a severe threat from piracy, one can easily expect the kind of havoc pirates will wreak on a solid hit like Nenu Sailaja. Already, several people are downloading the film’s pirated copy.
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore was tipped about this piracy and he immediately got into damage control. He took the help of advance technology which tracks down the IP addresses of the people downloading Nenu Sailaja’s pirated copy. If caught, offenders will be sent notices and also cough out 2 lakhs fine for downloading the film, as per Indian laws.
The senior producer also revealed the heavy penalties being carried out in Hollywood, UK and Australia. Apparently, during the release of the Hollywood film Dallas Buyers Club, an Australian court declared that pirates will be penalised with a fine of 5,000 to 7,000 Aus dollars.
Likewise, prestigious Hollywood studio Warner Bros has also been imposing a fine of $20,000 to the pirates downloading their films.
