Kerala CM Oommen Chandy put an end to all speculations saying that the State Government rejects Malayalam Super Star Mohan Lal’s refund offer. He said Kerala Government has no moral right to accept Mohan Lal’s refund.
Earlier Kerala Government paid Mohan Lal for the performance of his musical band at the 35th National Games opening ceremony which was held recently.
This performance marked the debut of Mohan Lal’s band Lalisom. However after the program, many criticised Mohan Lal’s band and State Government for the lackluster below par performance.
Mohan Lal who was hurt by the outcry mainly in social media, shot a letter to Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, Sports Minister stating that he would return the Rs 1.63 crs, the expenses he incurred for the program.
His close aides say Mohan Lal even sent a draft for the above amount. CM Chandy said some vested interests are trying to play foul game and added he will take call on all the allegations after the end of the games on Feb 14.
