There is nothing much to blame on Government or the local authorities, this is the way natural calamities occur and one could not be held responsible for the devastating Chennai floods which left people in a pathetic situation. As of now, entire Tamil Nadu is paralyzed and rescue operations are in full swing. However, the intermittent showers are still the worrisome factor at a time when people are slowly recovering from destruction.
While the reaction from celebrities is immense, here is legendary actor Kamal Hasan quite unhappy for lack of support from Government. ‘I feel guilty for living in a comfortable home when my fellow Chennaites are in distress. What are Governments doing and why are they asking for donations? Is this why we have appointed a Government to rule us? We are paying taxes promptly and where is all this money going? These are our hard earned money which hasn’t been used properly. This is completely sad and sick. Government’s don’t mind spending 4000 Crores on Corporate projects but we are just 120 Crores people and what is done to us,’ Kama questioned before a newspaper. Is Kamal welcoming the new challenges to confront from Jayalalitha Government?
